PURIFICATION CEREMONY

The Purification Ceremony, offers all participants the opportunity to write down on a small piece of paper something of which they wish to be purified, receive a blessing, then drop the paper into a small fire. This brief, yet powerful ceremony concludes with a short fire ceremony, complete with the chanting of traditional Vedic mantras.

SUNDAY EAST-WEST WISDOM TEACHINGS

Sunday Service is drawn from the ancient meditation tradition of the East and the mystical traditions of Christ, with scriptural readings from both the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita. Service includes music, chanting, a brief period of meditation, inspirational talk, and a beautiful ceremony called A Festival of Light.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHT

The essence of the Festival of Light ceremony has been passed down from ancient times...with poetry, prose, and song, expressing the soul's journey, first away from, and then back to its home in God. We affirm our soul's journey through time and space toward realization of our Oneness in Spirit.

The core concentration meditation technique we offer was taught by Paramhansa Yogananda who came to America in 1920 and who is known throughout the world for his now classic story, “Autobiography of a Yogi.” This course is open to everyone regardless of affiliation or belief.
